THIS IS OUR YOUTH (Kenneth Lonergan)
Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre
June 2018
“Carter’s extraordinary gift here is in taking these kids to the top without ever pushing them over it. They’re self-absorbed, insecure, noisy, angry, and obnoxious—but the audience is still rooting for them to be okay in the end, a bit of a tour de force on the director’s part.” -PTownie (June 2, 2018)
“Carter directs Lonergan’s one-room talk-fest with physical energy and simmering power. If “This Is Our Youth” is a harbinger for the season to come, then Outer Cape theatergoers are in for a formidable ride…” -Howard Karen, Wicked Local Wellfleet (June 6, 2018)
“But director Katherine M. Carter and the actors make the two young men seem like another smart variation on Vladimir and Estragon in “Waiting for Godot” — two men who fill the void of nothingness with chatter and activities that seem meaningless on the surface but serve either a dramatic or philosophical function underneath.” -Ed Siegel, WBUR (June 20, 2018)

ALBERT HERRING (Britten)
Boston Opera Collaborative
July 2014
"Katherine Carter’s staging is full of imaginative touches, like the way Lady Billows’s guests are squeezed together on her too-small settee, or the suggestive look Nancy gives Sid when she says she’s come 'for a piece of best English beef'.....Boston Opera Collaborative’s free presentation at the Strand Theatre is well staged, well sung, and, best of all, well acted." -Jeffery Gantz, Boston Globe
